I mainly use charcoal sticks or gouache to lay down on paper or canvas a kind of fulgurating emotion or sensation of the moment. This method produces highly expressive contemporary artworks that can establish a kind of relationship and discussion with the observer. The artist’s hand then materializes this emotion by applying charcoal or gouache strokes to paper or canvas, like an exquisite, uncalculated, spontaneous flash.
