Data security

Data is hosted by the following providers:

o2switch

All communications between your browser and our servers use the HTTPS protocol, which encrypts data before it is sent over the network. Passwords are not stored in clear text in our database, but are encrypted using the latest password security technology. Last but not least, communications between our different servers take place on a private network that is not accessible from the outside.

Advertising

Monorarts.com does not offer profile-related advertising, but only advertising related to the context of the pages consulted: promotional zones display sponsored works, appearing on the home page or within the site, and may display, for example, “digital art” type works if you visit the digital art portraits page, or painting, if you visit the painting page.

When we don’t have any advertising to display, we may use external service providers, such as Google Ad Exchange, which generally displays advertising based on your profile. You can view details of Google’s RGPD compliance on the following page: https://privacy.google.com/intl/fr_fr/businesses/compliance/#?modal_active=none

Finally, some advertising clients use advertising management platforms external to monorarts.com. In this case, we don’t program a banner, but a “tag”, i.e. an HTML code, which dynamically calls up the customer’s ads. In this case, the client has access to basic connection data (IP address, for example), but NEVER to Monorarts.com member data. The advertiser may also have access to information about you independently of Monorarts.com (for example if you have data linked to Google, Facebook, or retargeting sites and there is an agreement between these companies and the advertiser, which may have access to certain common data shared by Google, Facebook etc.). To oppose this, you need to manage access rights with these platforms.

On Monorarts, your e-mail address is protected from anyone wishing to acquire it without your specific authorization. To contact you, all visitors must fill in a form that our server will process and send to your e-mail address. Under no circumstances can visitors access your actual e-mail address at any time.

Other third parties

Other third parties may also intervene on the platform in the following ways:

Sharing buttons (Facebook, Twitter, instagram etc…) on most pages, which, when you are connected to these platforms and surf on monorarts.com, will store personal information according to their own rules.
Google Analytics, to better understand our audience, the information is anonymous (IP anonymized).
As with most online communities, our moderators have restricted access to member data, including account email address, date and time of last connection to the site with IP address, history of moderated or deleted content and moderation history. Moderators do not have access to private messaging.

Member profile

The member profile contains the information you filled in when registering/editing, including the following:

E-mail address
Personal username and password
Postcode/city/country
All other profile fields are optional and can be accessed directly on your member profile when you edit it.

Other elements can also be linked to your member profile:

All content you have created with the profile, (works, blogs, articles, ads etc…), contributions (comments, favorites collections, forum messages etc…). Most linked content is also directly visible on your profile.
Your votes on content (forum polls, +1/-1 on forum posts or user reviews)
Data facilitating your use of the site (newsletter subscriptions, forum mailings, notifications, last messages read in forums, etc.).
Your exchanges with other members using our internal messaging system
Your contacts with our hotline (message exchanges with support)
Your “trust rating”, which is a vote of confidence from other members when you make a transaction or receive a testimonial in your guestbook. We also keep data on the consultation of e-mails sent by our platform (newsletters and other e-mails). The aim is primarily statistical (to determine the newsletter opening rate, for example), but for reasons of data integrity we keep the raw data, i.e. who opened which e-mail at what time, and which links were clicked.
In order to maintain harmony within the community, the Monorarts.com team, including the moderators, have access to moderation tools that enable them to identify banned members who try to return, in particular the last use of each IP and cookie, as well as a moderation history.
