Exhibition from June 10 to June 16, 2024:
I am very pleased to be exhibiting at the Grenier à Sel in Bellême with Vincent Sailland from June 10 to June 16, 2024. This exhibition brings together two painter-artists with very different yet complementary styles: Vincent Sailland’s works explore atmospheric lyrical painting, while Monor’s works present a hybrid form of figuration (academic and expressionist). The exhibition took place in the beautiful stone-and-wood setting of the Grenier à Sel in Bellême. Both artists were present from Monday, June 10 through Sunday, June 16, 2024. Admission was free, and the exhibition was open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
As for my own work, this exhibition featured paintings from the WOMEN series. This series originated from a reflection on the theme “Is woman the future of humankind?”, a theme previously explored by Louis Aragon and later by Jean Ferrat. I leave it to the viewer to form their own opinion. These works are primarily portraits of women, seeking to capture their sensitivity, emotion, and expression. Executed in gouache or oil, these paintings—currently on view at my studio-gallery in Le Mans—are available for purchase. They are original works, each a unique piece, dated, signed, and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
