This painting is based on a drawing made at charcoal in a Beaux-Arts studio in Le Mans. The technique consists in producing this drawing at charcoal within a given timeframe; the painting is then finalized in my studio.
PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES
The technique consists in carefully observing the model as she poses; you don't want to jump straight to paper to "catch" the model's expression or emotion. The first strokes of the pencil and charcoal will indicate the evolution of the drawing.
