I made this digital nude painting from a scan of a beautiful 1920s sculpture by Louis Riché (1877-1949). Louis Riché was a French bronze sculptor. His first exhibition at the Paris Salon was in 1896, at the age of nineteen. The technique of this digital portrait consists of stylising the digital file with a graphic pad and then making a digital print on dibond-alu (matte or glossy finish) with a wall mounting system (aluminium frame if the dimensions of one side are greater than 60 cm).

PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES
I made this digital nude painting from the scanning of a beautiful 1920s sculpture. The technique consists of applying several layers of colour to achieve the final result; this nude painting is then finalised in my studio and stylized with a graphic pad then printed on dibond-alu (matte or glossy finish) with a wall mounting system (aluminium frame if the dimensions of one side are greater than 60 cm).

This nude painting offers us a moment of well-being and relaxation, just like the model who came to pose that day in the Beaux-Arts studio. The studio was flooded with a beautiful natural light that was diffused through the glass roof of the studio located in the medieval city of Plantagenet, whose Gallo-Roman wall is being classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place and this moment where time stopped, far from any frenzy, reinforced this feeling of well-being and lightness. We were fine. The model seemed to be at peace, I had the feeling that she had fallen asleep, which is why, by way of contrast and a desire for contradiction, I called this painting "Hurricane", because after the storm always comes the good weather, the serenity. You will understand that through this description of the sensations experienced during the creation of this nude painting, art, in my opinion, lifts us up and allows us to sit down, to take the time to observe and to project this sensation, this humanity onto the paper; the artist's hand then materialises this emotion by laying down on the paper the lines of charcoal, like an exquisite, uncalculated, spontaneous flash.
