Welcome to the artist's website and online gallery monorarts.com, from my name of artist-painter Monor. I am located in the city of the mythical 24 Hours of Le Mans and the medieval city Plantagenet, located less than 1 hour by TGV from Paris. My artistic creations mobilize several techniques : pencil drawing, charcoal, brush, gouache painting, oil painting, digital painting. The original drawings are mostly from sessions of posing live models or from my photographs. The initial figurative style of drawing at charcoal or photography evolves into a contemporary figurative art . I have takenart history courses at the Hôtel Drouot in Paris and at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Le Mans, drawing and painting courses at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and the SchlumSchool in Le Mans. You can easily buy limited editions on this site (some paintings in permanent exhibition are visible at the art gallery L'Ephémère, 59 Grande rue Le Mans ); the prices indicated on this site correspond to the prices of the editions, these prices vary according to the number of copies put on sale and the format which you wish; the editions on dibond-alu (glossy or matte finish) are suitable for installation in your interior and exterior spaces; the original paintings (Akoun quotation) are available for sale on request and can be seen at my studio by appointment or at the gallery L'Ephémère(CONTACT menu), they are signed and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.

My artistic approach consists in exploring the emotions and the sensitivity of human beings, through the various expressions of bodies, faces, scenes of life. My technique of artistic creation is based on two main steps: the first one is the realization of the drawing with a pencil or with charcoal or with a brush from the pose of a living model or a photograph, which allows to seize the essential of the emotions of the model or the moment.
The second is the finalization of the drawing and its colorization by a work of composition and "setting in colors". Artistic creation, in my opinion, teaches many things, who we are, how we perceive the world, what our humanity is. What I wish is that these emotions are communicative, that the observer can perceive them and feel pleasure and well-being when discovering my creations.
I am an intuitive artist guided by the intention of bringing beautiful emotions to the public to establish a dialogue, an exchange, a sharing. Solar, mystical and energizing emotions whose objective is to produce a well-being, individual or collective.
